NOAA Ocean Exploration and partners are currently transiting from Honolulu, Hawai‘i, to Koror, Palau, on NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer. During this expedition, they are preparing the ship, equipment, and personnel for the remainder of the field season. This includes integrating and testing new mission equipment, updating mapping systems, conducting mapping calibrations and system checks, and training new personnel. They will also conduct seafloor and water column mapping operations if integration and testing objectives are completed. No live video will be available during this expedition.
